There was an owl who lived in an oak. The more he heard, the less he spoke; the less he spoke, the more he heard - We all should be like that wise old bird.
(Found this online. Poignant huh?)

What a beautiful representation of a wonderful message. Do you know who wrote the poem originally?
Hi Cate! I tried to find the original creator of the poem, but in all my research it just kept coming up as unknown. I did find out after I posted the piece that its a very old piece, and it turns out that it's original purpose was to be used as a nursery rhyme for children to instill the idea that --"Children should be seen and not heard!" I laughed at that. I have a 5 year old daughter, and she is definitely seen AND heard - and that's just the way I encourage her to be! I guess the reason I chose the rhyme was that I feel that in this chaotic time of news and information overload - the act of SILENCE and listening seem so undervalued.
CJ Metzger is excited to announce she has open edition prints available through the PODgallery. Based in New York, this print publisher has its inventory online and offers prints on paper and canvas! Check out the site!
